What series tire? 35 or 40??

Just got a set of 18x9.5 ZO6 wheels and I'm trying to decide on tires. I'm goin go either run 275's all around or 295's in the rear and 265's in the front. Just don't know what series to run 35 or 40 or if a 295 will even fit on a 9.5 inch wheels.

275/35 is what you want.

275/40 will be too tall for clearance at the front. 295s are too wide for those wheels.

For handling you want as big as you can get on the front - the 'vette carries less wieght up front and can benifit from the smaller tires. If you put narrow tires up front, since the wheels are the same width the sidewalls will look funny compared to the back. If you put taller tires on the back (shorter on the front), you may trip up the ABS/ASR (on the LS1 cars - I have not heard of issues on the LT1 cars)

i just so happened to have mounted a set of 295/30/18 DR's on an 03 Cobra with 18x9.5's last night. They fit, but had a little bulge, but looked good

I'm doing 275/35/18s on back and 265/35/18 on the front w/ my 18x9.5 Z06s.
