so i'm going to assume that it has to be cut out and re-welded in for repair.. doesn't look like it comes out...
anyone know a rough estimate of how much replacing it would cost?

Yep it's a rocker panel, and it's a big deal to cut it out and replace it. Unless she's rusted through just repair it. As said before it's a major component of a unibody frame.

I smashed mine up one time on a stump!
The body shop fixed it, they used bondo and painted it. Couldn't even tell after they were done, think it cost me $300 but I'm not sure it was awhile ago.......
