What kind of tires will look good?
What kind of tires will look good?
I have a deep purple metallic 96 firebird, and i'm getting new tires for my birthday and i'm wondering what i should look for. I want reasonably priced ones, probably goodyear, but should i get white letter, white outline, or regular black. I don't think i've ever seen white letter tires on a firebird before. My dad's old Fiero always had Goodyear GT Eagle Plus 4 low profile tires on it, and they were white outline, and they looked good, but it was red, so i don't know how white would look on my car. What do you guys think?

Whitewall tires however have been around since the first tires were made and you can still find them on a lot of luxury vehicles presently.
IMO you should go with a blackwall on your firebird. Anything else would look kinda funny.
Good year makes a Goodyear Eagle RS-A "yellow letter" tire that can be seen on the 2003 "Monte Carlo SS Jeff Gordon Signature Edition". I think the biggest size that goodyear makes this yellow letter tire is 235/55/16 though.
See this page for more info on the Jeff Gordon car.
So if you want the nascar look, go with the yellow letters. If you want the sleek late-model look, go with a black wall.
