hey guys i was thinking about doing a simple appearance mod. ive saw it done before but on a camaro. i want to buy some chrome or polished aluminum door sill covers...you know the ones im talken about and take some door badge stickers that say "trans am" and sticken them on there in maybe black or a color that matches my car, and then shooten them with some clear coat...what do you guys think about that? and is there anywhere to find the sill covers for cheaper than 150 bucks? thanks in advance, opinions are appreciated!

I bought a set of those for my old s-10 xtreme. They were not chrome nor were they $150. I think I paid like $30, but they were made of the plastic black material. I think that they looked good and almost looked stock.

 

I like the door sills, however I do not think they are totally necessary. I think the black ones look good especially after shining it with armor all.

 

thanks guys for the replys..i really think the diamond plate sills look really nasty...i dont like the stuff at all on cars...and i guess it can pass on trucks..i think im going to order some of the smooth ones off that site and some stickers to put on it...when it gets done i will try to post pictures! does anyone have pictures of it already?

I have carbon fiber door sills on my 96 Z. I think they look good. But since they're under the door, there not very noticable.
