Angry wear on leather seats

The side support on the drivers seat is starting to show signs of wear....cheap leather if you ask me. Is there a product or anything to help repair it? Thanks.

As far as I know, the only place you can get a direct replacement cover is from GM. However, the following link was posted a few days ago... maybe they can help?

There are people that can spray that area with a "paint" like substance and it makes it look pretty close to actual leather, but it doesn't feel like leather and it can wear off kind of fast. Dealerships do this to their used cars all of the time. It's kind of an inexpensive quick fix.
