vinyl and clearcoat

Im working on a little early winter project that involves painting plastic and adding some vinyl brent made up for me my question is, can I clear ontop on the vinyl? if so will I get the best finish if I go paint-vinyl-clear or paint-clear-vinyl-clear?

I asked about laying a clear coat over my Brent vinyl that I'm going to put on my brake calipers... And Brent said that was good to go. I'd imagine the same applies to overlays as well.

I cleared over the decal I have on my dash. Worked fine, helped kinda hold it down too.

I would do paint, vinyl, clear. I believe that'll work best for ya
