valve covers

this is an appearance mod but i wasnt sure if it should go in lt1 tech, anyways i want to get some chrome valve covers, or paint mine silver(gray). i know that they have to have a notch on one side for the alternator or something, does anyone know of any that fit an lt1 or should i just paint mine. if i paint them, how should i do it.

Any Small block Chevy Valve covers will fit your car. even if they are outbolt. If they are outerbolt all you have to do is get a Trick Flow Valve Cover Adapters for Small Block Chevy.

Our valve cover adapters allow you to run early-style valve covers with your late model Chevy’s centerbolt heads. Plus, the adapter gives you the option of running a stud girdle to increase valvetrain stability and improve overall performance. The adapters come with all necessary hardware and gaskets.
Note: Requires narrow-body rocker arms.
Summit racing carries them for $99.95

The only problem is they raise your Alternator up So you have to have hood clearence& have to have a new braket made for the Alternator & new belt.
