Upgraded from 6000K HID to 7000K PICS inside!
Upgraded from 6000K HID to 7000K PICS inside!
I started off with a Hella 6000K HID kit that some of you on the board may remember. I was in need of money so I sold that kit and regretted it (Halogen sucks). I just recently installed my new Hella 7000K HID kit that I am VERY pleased with. The Ballast is made by Hella and uses correct base molded 9006 bulbs that position the HID capsule at the exact point at which the filament would be in the stock halogen bulb. This allows for the best possible beam pattern, infact it is no different that the stock beam pattern only brighter and a wider. I never once was flashed by oncomming traffic. Glare is also very minimal. I actually am using the stock glass sealed beam housings which seem to be the best route to go if you want to attain the stock appearance and quality. The light color and output is best described as identical to new BMW HID vehicles with the Ellipsoid headlamps. As you can see in the pictures is white with a violet/purple hue to it. I had a buddy drive my car opposite ways down the road and I was very pleased. Just click this link and check out "NEW 7000K HID headlights" to view my new kit. At my main menu you can also compare with the 6000K HID's that I also had. Love them both but like the color output of the new 7000K's a little more. Let me know what you guys think.
Thanks

Bulb is totally clear. I couldnt imagine the color output of an HID bulb with a blue coating. Those kits must looks pretty bogus. Not for me thats for sure.

Here is the site where I bought both HID kits. www.misterjung.com Price is $379 shipped. VERY reasonable for an HID kit specially considering it comes with hella ballasts which are said to be the best. DO NOT try and e-mail this guy as he is extremely slow in responding to e-mails (like literally weeks). However, if you do purchase a kit through his website you will receive the kit on time just dont expect a confirmation e-mail or tracking numbers. But again, you will receive them on time.
If you have anymore questions drop me an e-mail or keep postin.
Thanks

That's pretty cool, but not as cool as mine.
I can adjust mine from 4,200K to 10,000K. I usually keep them on the highest setting.
I have yet to be flashed once for the headlights. Right after installing them, I went on the highway and was following a buddy. The whole time I was installed them, he was telling me how he hates them because they're also so blinding.
Well after following him on the highway he admitted that they looked good and didn't blind him nearly as much as some ricer civics do.

Well actually now that I have those new HID's I dont even use the foglights. I just had them on to show the difference. Humm for another $800 I can buy real HID fogs. I think www.HIDs4LESS.com sells them for the 800 series fog lamps. Even though that would look cool I dont think so. I can find other things to spend $800 bucks on that my fogs :-)
Stumper66,
I checked out your link and do you have any pictures showing the difference between the 4000K and the 10000K? I dont see a difference at all in color from any of the pictures on your site. You mentioned bright, and low, but that has nothing to do with the Kalvin rating. Infact, the higher you go in Kalvin rating the less bright it is (less lumens). I am curious to see what 10,000K looks like. If mine are a bright white with purple/violt hue I cant imagine what a 3000K higher rating than mine would look like.

Is there a better housing to put these in? Im about to order the HIDs, I dont have a problem siliconing the bulb into the stock housing, just curious if there's anything that can be retro fitted for better beam pattern.
I dont know of any housings besides those Autooptiks conversion sealed beams. I have heard horror stories about those. Besides I think they are plastic housings and I wouldnt get those. I gauruntee that the silicone method is effective and very reliable. Afterall, thats how the halogen bulb is attached to the H4356 sealed beam stock.

Yes the color does seem to be the same. Go here for the product info from where I got it: http://www.hidkits.com/whats_new_10m.htm
That looks very nice man.
I would be tempted to try that in the FF75's someone...
JTS95TA - why not upgrade to an H3 housing for the fogs and get a kit from Mister Jung? That would cost about $40 plus the cost of the HID kit...
