Nice, but did they come with new headlight housings? Or did you have to manipulate your stock headlight housings and then use RTV to seal the HID bulbs in?

All I did was use a wrench and turn the stock bulb, which cracked all the glue and made it come right out.

Then cleaned out all that glue.

Then used hte RTV and siliconed the new bulb in the housing

Thats what I figured. Most HID kits out there don't include new housings, leaving you to break the glue and then use RTV to seal it up (ecept for the LEDgauges.com store, but $350 was just too much IMO). Most of that is not a big deal, however getting the clear Euro lenses as a new headlamp lense is nice.

Or at least thats what I am hoping as I got a set of HID's off of ebay for about twice what you paid from your guy, but mine included the clear lense that actually is made for the HID bulbs so it is a good seal, not one you have to break or use RTV to fully seal back up. So far I have only recieved the HID's including the wiring, bulbs, and ballasts, I am still waiting on the lenses.

You know, these headlight threads can be VERY misleading. If the before and after pictures weren't taken in the same lighting conditions (cloudiness, time of night, moon phase, etc) and the shutter speed and aperture of the camera were not exactly the same in both photos, then the results seen in the pictures will be skewed.

HID's are TONS brighter than Halogens. It's not trick photography. Sure the apeture and conditions may show the results to be great or just slightly better, but the facts are that true HID systems have a plethera more light output that stock Halogens. Not to mention they actually run cooler, and last a lot longer, and take less power to operate ect., ect.

I understand that. I'm just pointing out that unless you take the pictures under controlled conditions, you're not going to show an accurate representation of the results.

I was going to say that too.

Besides, he didn't even give a before picture. I have nothing to compare to at all.

Well I have a high dollar digital camera and some HID's ready to go in my Z, so once it warms up enough for me to get it out (probably the next week or so) I will take plenty of before and after pics to post up of mine.

The lights show up as white in the pics, not yellow. That tells me a lot right there.

Make sure you take them either indoors or monitor the skies closely. Also, manual mode on the camera. (Now I'm just being an ***. )
