Ultra Z hood HELP PLEASE!

My car has been in the body shop since July because of a driver mishap (don’t ask), so I’ve been ordering loads of new parts and toys. I bought an Ultra Z hood and had it installed, with the assumption it was functional, or I would at least be able to buy the kit that makes it functional separately.
Well I called SLP and was told they only make the functional kit for the LT1, not the LS1.
What do I do? I don’t want a cosmetic hood, I want a functional hood.
What have you guys done to make this thing functional??

Chris

They don't make a kit to make your car functional because it already is you have the airbox in the right spot already

Thhis is just a guess though

So do I take off the airbox lid and it mates right up? Do you have this hood? I love the hood, i just want it functional like on the LT1, which I thought it was when I ordered it.

This is the kit for the LT1 that they don't make for the LS1 for some ungodly reason...

All you have to do is look under the hood and see if the opening lines up with the opening on the front of your airbox

Incase you dont know where it is there is a 1 cm high and the length of the airbox sized slit on the front of the air box at the bottom that should line up with the opening on the hood

Oh ok, I didn't think of that. When I get my car back from the body shop today or tomorrow, I'll check.

Thanks!!
