What I mean by truck exhaust is, dual exuast exits that either curl out to the side behind each tire in a Y like shape or just a sort of straight diagonal pointed exhaust.

Anyone ever thought of this? Just for appearance?

I have the same set up as CrabhartZ28. I like that set up, but it does seem like everyone is doing it nowadays. Heck I saw 2 v-6 cars today with dual exhaust. One was true dual the other had the duals out the muffler. Both sounded like crap.

 

I saw a guy at a local track that had the setup you are thinking about (pipes end at a 45 angle instead of coming straight out)... looked gay imo and didn't sound all too great, even with a 383 and a turbo.

 

Thanks for the replies. I'll have to photoshop it or something to see if I'd like how it would look. I tried to earlier, but it didn't come out too good. I'll have to put some more time into it later. And mine sounds great right now, and I wouldn't want to sacrafice my sound for appearance, even though I am considering buying the american thunder dual exit catback.

 

I saw a Chevy Caprice from the 90s with exhaust like that 2 days ago, and the same rectangular exhaust tips they used on Camaro Z28s too. It looked pretty decent, but I don't know how it would look on a Camaro.

Have you ever seen pics of the TVR Sagaris? Google-image it and check it out. It has dual side exit exhaust.
