I am torn between the Predator Ram Air Hood from Sun Coast creations or the SLP HO hood. I am putting an order through for some Chrome Z-06 Wheels and the hood at the same time and I want the hood and wheels to really set the car off. Any opinions?

SLP just looks like a normal Firehawk. I'd go Predator just because even though its the newer WS6 style, it never came out stock like that on LT1s the way the SLP one did.

I'd go SLP out of those two. Just seems to fit the look of the car better.

 

i LIKE the predator best out of the two hoods, but as far as bein on an LT1 T/A or firebird i like the slp hood better, fits the flow a lot nicer. sidenote- i was considering getting the predator hood for my firebrid before it crashed, and ive yet to see a pic of it on a car other than that pic the site has *shrug* cant really go too wrong with either one though so pick whichever YOU like best, remember its your car

 

 

i dont like any style LT1 T/A hood except the WS6 type/SLP RA hood. good luck.

 

Well I have decided I want the more aggressive looking (IMO) Predator style hood. I am talking to Suncoast about the fit, I dont want a big gap like an LT1 I have seen. I will post this picture up and see what you guys think, maybe it was just a badly made hood or damaged before hand.

I am hoping that it doesn't end up looking like that, or I will just end up going with the SLP style.

Also I am running a BMR STB under the hood right now, clearance wise will it be O.K. or am I going to have to remove it?

 

I have the SLP Ultra Z hood on my car. It also does not fit flush. However, my body shop guy says it won't be a problem for him to make everything right. He said something about putting spacers under the body work and actually bringing the nose piece come up to meet the hood instead of trying to make the hood come down to meet the body.

 

I would go with the predator.
