how much does it normally cost to tint all the windows of a camaro and what is the down side of illeagel tint?

Alot more than you think.

Watch Cops, Beach Patrol, Speeders, any show like that and you'll see what I mean.

 

Dark tint on a car is just the excuse for the people with blue lights on their cars to stop you.

 

I paid $180 to get my car tinted all the way around and the back window done in one piece with 20% tint on it.

I have gotten a tint ticket before, it is just a fix it ticket. I just had to peel it and go show the state troopers that I took it off.

 

Depends on a lot of factors, of course they'll get people on tv, their bosses will see them. I've gotten pulled over many times back in the day for everything from speeding to exhaust, but not tint (not saying it won't happen, I have been harassed for it before). Tint is usually a "oh no we aren't bringing in enough money" ticket or a bad day ticket. Cop has a bad day, so do you. It's really relative to where you live, do people have dark tint where you live? Some cities are all against it, most aren't.

i had 5% limo tint on my 96.
i look at it as its a car i mostly drive with the windows down anyway and it just looks amazing when its parked with em up. around here they may get you but he has to be suspicous of you for something else and use the tint as an excuse to pull u over. ive nvr had a ticket in the total of 3 yrs i had the tint of both cars, and i have 20% on my DD truck and ride windows up 3/4 of the time and never even got considered to be hasseled, evn after i was pulled over for numerous other stuff (roll both windows down when you r getting pulled over b4 they even get out of their car)

 

so im thinking about getting just above legal tint on the side windows and limo tint on the back for $200. is that a good deal

 

Go illegal! I always have... I think it looks better.. Well at leas on my Z since it is Orange i love it.. I have lived in a lot of states in my military Career and alot of them the cops cant pull you over just for your tint.. It has to be live a moving violation or a broken tail light or some redicilious crap like that. But when you come to think about it, if the Fuzz wants to pull you over THEY CAN AND THEY WILL... Go 10% and you shouldnt pay no more then 300 if even that much... Just make sure you dont roll your windows down for about 36 hrs to make sure the tint set! Well that is what i do... I let it set for a while.

 

i also heard it you have illeagle tint you cant pass inspection. os that true?

 

each state is diffrent man... I know in WV it would pose no problem...

 

I've gotten a fix-it ticket for tint. The cop was a douche though, I guess he was mad that I wasn't speeding. I just had to peel it off and show the CHP.

Where did you hear that? The DOD sticker on my car didn't stop the CHP cop that stopped me 10 miles from base.

I just got a quote for tint, and they would do all 3 windows for $130, any darkness or material I want.
