Those who have painted or powdercoated their rims...

I have alloy WS-6 rims (not the polished, not chrome, just straight silver) on my car. I wanted to paint them black to match my car... damn that's gonna look sick with black tint, black car, black rims, just pure black just how I like it. Anyway, Got pics??? What kind of paint, primer, and clearcoat did you use? How long have you had it and how is it holding up? Anybody from the bay area know of any shops that powercoat for a good price??? I know about wheel techniques in san mateo but they wanted like 100 bucks a rim I was like peeeeeace. Haha, any way, thanks in advance for the responses.

hundred a pirce isnt bad. thats what it will cost me to get professionally polished and then clear coated.

if you look in the back of gmhtp or hpp magazines there are do it yourself powdercaoting kits for cheap. like 50 bucks and include the gun. also jc whitney sells them too. as for the quality, i dont know.

If the place is respectable....a 100 seems to be what a lot of places ask. I personally spent 75 a piece or 300.00 out the door for my set. I love them though!

96WS6, Go to my site below. I have a 93 TA that I had the WS6 wheels powdercoated "Mirror Black" and they shine like the paint on the car. I payed 180.00 for blasting and coating for all 4 wheels. BLACK is tight. Email me if you have any questions
