Those interested in Custom Reverse Indiglo Speedo
Hey Guys.
Just finished the install guide on for the Custom (colored 194 bulb/led) Reverse Indiglo Speedometer.
Check page 4 of my sig- it's pretty detailed but post or email me if you have any questions.
Brent, If you wanna link it from your site, I don't mind- I like saving fellow f-bodiers some cash so they don't blow $50+ on some gauge when all they need it to change out the bulbs.
Later,
J

No pics yet- I was wanting to get a lot of things done so I could have basically a photoshoot and cover speedo, decals, mods, style, and audio all in one and put those pics up on my cardomain site. I would venture to say I'll have some within the month, but who knows.
The LEDs I put in today and they're plenty bright- much better than Walmart 194 bulbs in terms of brightness.
Some people were concerned w/ their area of illumination- worrying that they'd be superbright in one spot and much dimmer as the radius from the LED increases, but not so- it provides equal illumination and I'm 100% satisfied w/ it. I got my leds from www.superbrightleds.com for those interested- that's the cheapest i found them.

Thanks for the detailed steps on replacing them. I bookmarked it and hopefully you'll have some good pics up of it soon. I could barely tell that you'd swapped out the bulbs in that one pic on your site but w/ the LED's I'm sure its much much brighter. I also would think that the bulbs would be in the same location for the '93-'96 Pontiac cluster?
BTW... I have a spare 3.4 cluster out in the garage that I took apart. If I can remember I'll pull it out over the weekend and see where the bulbs are located exactly on it. I believe the locations would be the same for the Z and the V6 gauges. I'll let you know after I get that done, someone may need to e-mail and remind me in a few days

I'll try to use the same digicam to take pics the second time around so hopefully you'll be able to see the difference (which i definitely can).
w/ the walmart bulbs, the color changed, but it was a little dimmer than normal white bulbs. with the led's, the brightness is increased a bit and color changed. I love it.
