What thickness aluminum is easily bendable so I can do some of the things on my console parts like the trim around the radio and door switch panels? I know this isn't going to be easy but I'd like to give it a shot.

If you get it to work send me a private message of the cost in a polished aluminum look

polished aluminum would suck to keep clean. I was going to go with brushed aluminum. Like this:

Looks like it has some type of acrylic on it.

Anyone ever think about gold leaf? You can buy it pretty cheap. Just use some thin spray contact glue on the part, rub the gold leaf on, then perhaps coat that with clear if you like, or not. Might look cool.

Aluminum will oxidize wont it? Might look dull unless polished a lot. But those brushed aluminum pics look very nice!

I was going to clear coat it at the end right before installing.
