Thinking of debadging the car.
I'm considering going for the clean look. I don't like the way it has LE emblems on it either, being a 2000. Before you bite my head off, those were only temporary until I could gather up the money for new OEM ones. (The LE ones were free, so I figured what the hell. It already has the stripes.)
However, I can't afford sixty dollar pieces of plastic, so i'm just going to take them off and go for a clean look.
Should I leave the back bowtie emblem on, or should I scrap that too?

I just got my car repainted and it's currently without badges as well. I have to be honest it looks pretty good. It's without the Chevy symbol and little other symbol that are both on the front bumper cover also. I planned to get all new ones, but now I think I'll add those two and leave all the Z28 badges off. Looks nice and clean and it makes waxing and stuff a lot easier. Not like the exhaust sound isn't gonna give it away anywayz. BTW my old badges were black and the car is black, they didn't show up that much in the first place. I'm having a hard time finalizing the decision though, so anyone wanna chime in as well I need the same advice.
I just debadged recently. It looks a lot cleaner.
Positives - clean, sleeper look, free mod, lots of people will think its a v6 with an SS hood and spoiler.
Negatives - Doesn't show off what you have, takes away stock look, lots of people will think its a V6 with an SS hood and spoiler on it
As you can tell, some of the reasons are both good and bad depending on what you want. I like the sleeper feel to it because it keeps car people guessing on what you have and most average people can't tell anyway.

Funny...when I had my Import I was awe over badges...no I can't stand to see them on there... But those Vintage Z/28 emblems look good....
Badges...what's the point....figure somewhere between 2K to $K RPMs they'll figure it out....

I like the look of my car but I have the exact opposite, since I have zr1s alot of people think I have a v8... Even when I have my exhaust opened... (one crappy sounding v8)
I was thinking of a set of silver 3800 decals, you now in a similar font that the "30th" aniversary stuff is in on 30th cars.
It is funny when people ask why I run no MAF on my ls1 at the track(I have ice over the top of the motor). At first I just said, yeah I do and pointed inside the TB(Maf is built into the TB on '00+ 3.8Ls) Then people ask why do I have such a wierd setup on my Ls1, then I have to explain. Its a v6... Then they are like "in the mid 14s?
I thought you just couldn't drive your ls1
Good times! "

I like them...
When my dad bought this car new... 3 days later, car got hit bug a door, and left a dent.
The molding really absorbes alot of hits. We put it on a week later(hid the dent pretty well)

I always check a cars badges out to see if its like a Z-28 or SS. Especially with the 4th gens, 3rd gens are easier for me to distinguish. So if i see a 4th gen with no badges I usually think its a v6 or something.
