My pass. side mirror's finish is coming off and is faded is some spots... I was thinking about repainting it gross black. What would be involeved in this?? I know I would have to sand and paint it and all that, but I know I could also buy another one from a recycling yard. Do you think it is worth it?

 

Why not paint it? This would be an excellent first project. And if you screw it up you can still get one from a recycler.
