thinking about making my own projector HIDs

I am seriously considering grafting some projectors into a stock headlight housing (for the low beam), and running HIDs for both the high and low beams.

My logic on this is that the projector will focus the light for normal driving and the refractor lens will scatter the HID light for super bright high beams...

Here are the projectors i am thinking of using. If not these, something very similar, most likely from a lexus. (I want something small that i can mount to the back of the housing with the black projector part in the actual housing....)

Please post any thoughts or comments that you think might help or I might need to consider before starting this project.

The Hella lights that that link referred to are probably easier to mount up than the lexus ones. I've got the Hella's mounted in the bumper of my 91 bird and I love the light output. The only reason I say it'd be easier is because the mounting points are real uniform around the outside of the projector housing. Either way you'll be chopping up the stock housing for fit projectors in. Do it.

You don't need HID for the high beams. Already been done using Hella 90mm projectors

I can't believe you have the Autooptiks listed in that lighting guide in your sig. The owner of Autooptiks should get beat the **** down IMO.

Considering I made that "guide" back in 1998 and got locked out of it by Homestead, I can't change it.
