Taking out the bulbs in the guages...
Well after seeing the post about the blue bulbs behind the guages I started to wonder what a blue neon bulb would look like back there so I began the long process of ripping the interior and guages apart...
Well when I finally figured out how to remove that circut board back there and get inside to the bulbs, I noticed that on the back side of them it says something like "replace entirely" or sumthin like that. Well I twisted and pulled on the bulb for a couple mins to try and get them but those things aren't comin out unless I start breakin sumthin. Well after not wanting to mess anything up entirely, I just put it back together with a bar in between the the overlay on the guages and that black piece that screws to them before the plastic cover. and left that plastic piece off.
Let me tell you this look great! (If neon is your thing.)
I only have one problem. When I turn on my headlights and such, they still light up stock + the neon bar and it looks wierd! So I was wondering if I could just break each indivual bulb that comes on with them and leave the "base part" back there? I know I'd have to probaly cut those little wires in each bulb so they aren't connected but by doing so would this hurt anything? I just dont want to have to try and remove that whole piece and probaly end up messin up the circut board then have to buy a new guage cluster.
Thanks
