Has anyone ever tried to convert a newer second gen tail panel to an older one? i just got a 79 Z28 and was wondering how much it would cost or if its even possible to convert my tail panel to the early 2nd gen circle lights

 

looks like you need to change the rear fenders (at least the rear portion), possiblely the trunk lid, tailpanel, bumber (and mounts) and the lower panel below the bumber. also the piece that the tailpanel bolts to.



not an easy job.

 

ive got a camaro part magazine and the panels are $80 a piece and there are 3 panels, do you think the rear windshield would have to be replaced?
