Tail light filler question

My car is going in th the body shop next week to get the rocker pannel fixed (don't ask, long story), and I was thinking abought having the filler pannel painted black like the first gen camaros had. My camaro is white and I think that it would look good, I was thinking abought having the letters filled in and putting the SS stickers in the middle of the pannel. Just wondered what everyone thought, thanks.

I've thought about painting the panel black myself. However since my car is dark green it'd hardly be noticable. On a white car that would stand out though.

I'm not sure I like the idea of filling in the letters and moving the SS emblem.

If you do it, please show us the results.

Someone just showed me this site

Check out the BergerSS and The ZL1, both have the rear panel blacked out.

It looks hot IMO.

Thank's Dave.

I was think about doing it with the '69 Z/28 emblem until I saw the last pic. Uh... no thanks.

The SS emblem centered does look cool though... unfortunately I don't have an SS.

Hmmm, I need to do something about that.

It looks too plain with the regular spoiler. It looks good with the SS spoiler though. I've done some Photoshops of it and I'm going to do it.

COOL!

Thanks for posting the pics guys, I just took off of all the badges from the back and took off the filler pannel. She is going to the body shop in abought an hour and I all ready can't wait to see it! Too bad I have to wait for two days to see it. I think that I am going to go with the filled in camaro letters and put the SS emblums in the middle and the bow tie off to the passanger side whear it was, thanks again...

I had mine painted flat black. It looks pretty good, but it is more like a satin black than flat.(They said it was a flat black).
