T-top/convertable?

well i was wondering for a while... if it was possible to do an easy removal/install on the rear window... so when the t-tops are off it was more like a full hard top convertable, and the car wasnt like a big baloon and the air flowed out the back...

is there anyway to make the rear window detatchable?

that could be interesting...scept theres NOWHERE to stor that thing in the car. i imagine it could be done with internal latches, but then you hafta take into account force on the hatch glass with the windows down, as to what kinda hold downs youd need....making any sense?

i have had both t-top and vert 4th gens... when you pop the tops on both there is a diff between the two... i can see where he's going with this...

i pulled the whole hatch off my third gen just to mess around... dont know if this is what you are talking about... it only took 4 bolts to pull it off and me and a bud did it just to see what it would be like.. the hatch was pretty heavy.. and it looked odd with it off.. but it was cool..

i dont know about just popping the glass out...

you could do the vert mod:

1. sell ur car
2. buy a vert

Isn't that the whole idea behind the Sportback Window? The glass in it is removable, and with the T-Tops out you have exactly what you are talking about.

Actually, on the right car, the Sportback looks great IMO. If you do a forum search you should find where I submitted several photos of the Sportback and someone was hosting them for us. Also, Brent has some pics of his friend's car with this mod in his Appearance Guide.

I think it looks good on his black car. I don't have any pics showing the entire car (need to get some uploaded) but here is what I have...

Check the Vette boards. Some one makes a kit to do C4's. Maybe you could adapt it to the Camaro. I found it. http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?d...1VLHNEEPXPE0LD
