anyone who has done this conversion please help!
what kind of paint did you use?
what should i apply it with? paint gun/spray can...etc
and should i clear coat it?

Depends on the color of your car. Mine is black and I picked up a can of gloss black rustoleum. I tapped off the groove where I made the cut and it matched my car PERFECTLY! I had planned to use it as a base coat, but I just stuck with it after I saw the results. I still can't believe how good it looks. However, if your car is anything other than black, I would have a paint store mix you a custom color to match...as for application...I don't really know. Maybe you can get a hold of a cheep hvlp (high volume low pressure) spray gun and apply it that way. It should take much effort. You might even be able to rent one. Hope this helps some.
