t top conversion

I have decided that i am going to do a t top conversion into my hardtop 98. after carefully researching this projest i still have a question
exactly where do you make the cut along the winshield? do you leave any roof at all? or cut right along the seam after removing the weatherstriping?
and another thing...interior fabrications, fiberglass or screen and bondo?
please help me out!

i dont think you have to cut along the front. i am pretty sure it is glue down and you just pry it up.

i dont think it matter whether you use bondo or fiberglass either. i would personally use fiberglass because i think it is much easier to work with and a hell of a lot easier to sand. bondos not that bad either though.

T-TOP

I did the conversion this summer. Just cut about 1/8 of an in in fron of the groove with a dremel try to cut straight. DONOT I repeat do not go near the windshield with that dremel. Just peel from the back untill you peel it off. It will peel right from under the windshield without you ever going near the windshiels. just peel baby, use a crowbar if things get hard. again dont go near the windshield with the crowbar either. after that is off... everything else is self explanatory.

Hey man, I just did this conversion over the weekend, took about 8 hours. Today is the first sunny day here, so I can't wait to go on my lunch break. You don't cu tnear the windshield, all that is glued down. Have fun and good luck!!! After you cut and fabricate the first corner, the rest is a piece of cake!!!
