that spoiler is part of the entire hatch. so that means swaping hatches.

For one thing, the Formula WS-6's NEVER had the tall wing, it's part of the TA option package and has nothing to do with the WS6 package.

For swaping it over you must swap the entire hatch over, it's totally different.

The only Formula to ever have that hatch was the 97 Firehawk.

A firehawk and a WS6 are elevated trim levels of the TA, correct?

The FORMULA is the (only) elevated trim level of the Firebird.

I am more of a Camaro guy, but unless I've been mistaken my whole life you can't get a WS6 or Firehawk Firebird. They're both TransAms. (all of which have the raised spoiler)

It's a common/easy swap for that TA hatch. Just finding one local to you at a good price is the challenge.

Nah, thats not totally true. Actually, SLP makes the firehawk in both trans am and formula body styles.

The 96/97 Firehawks were ALL build from Formula WS-6 base car's. The Formula package was equal to the T/A package but without all the glitzy stuff std (GFX, leather, Monsoon, High-Spoiler), but the same performance (if not a little better due to lighter weight). The WS-6 Package was on-top of either the Formula or TA package for 96-2000, in 01-02 the only WS-6 Cars were T/As. The Firehawks were made in both T/A and Formula versions in 98-00, but only in T/A versions in 01-02.

FYI a Trans am is a formula. It just has some extra stuff like sideskirts, different rear bumper, different front clip, and a few extra options are standard. WS6 formula's were offered, but ended in 2000. You can get Firehawks in either a formula or T/A. The larger spoiler is part of the Trans Am package, and does not come on formula's, and is not an available option (except for some lt1 hawks).
