Sweet Meef Vinyl Idea #3

OK, so i see this nice impala SS today just like our family's but more tricked out. Well, it had a way cool "Impala SS" reflective decal on the air dam.
Now, our cars are lower than Impalas, so this may be pointless and unproductive. however, I think it'd be cool to see "CAMARO" or "CAMARO Z28" on a fellow F-body driving down the road...

Post your thoughts and whatnot on whether you think Brent should make this and sell it to us for cheap like the rest of his meef decals.

Two things about the design tho:

First, the Impala SS was (i think) in cursive and slanted. So, it looked better than if you just slapped a "CAMARO" decal on then a "Z28" decal next to it (which arent the same size height-wise).
This means that you'd have to make a new decal that said "CAMARO Z28"- I'm guessing in the italic "Z28" style. Also, you could put the lines thru the whole thing like the Z28 overlay you currently sell. And, it'd all have to be the peel-off kind and not the individual letter kind.

that to say,
1) It would need to be the same height and "look" like a single decal rather than two side by side.
2) It would need to have the same style in either font or format (lines thru letters).

I don't have any templates for what the rear CAMARO letters look like, so if someone could PS a few prototype decals and we'll all decide what looks best.

Brent-
Have you looked any more into making a single "CAMARO Z28" decal that's all the same "font"- ie: height is the same- for the air dam?
As you know the Z28 decals now are shorter than the camaro letters.
If you could make them all one size and look the same (the CAMARO letters are pretty square, the Z28 decal is somewhat italicized), I'll be your guinnea pig again; it needs to look like one decal and not two next to each other imo.
And I'm still gonna get some pics of the 30th decal when I put it on- I haven't forgotten.

Also, on that note, have you looked any more into fabricating a 30th decal with "nose emblem" decal for the seats? Keep me posted on that.
Later man,
Jay

I can make an air dam decal that looks good. However, I think it would look pretty good to have the regular font CAMARO and then the Z28 emblem next to it. You don't??? To make the CAMARO the same as the Z28 or the Z28 the same as the CAMARO is HOURS of custom designing. To make CAMARO Z28 in Arial or something takes just minutes Did you have a particular font you were looking for?

I could do a 30th with the nose emblem but it would be a 3 or 4 color decal

Brent,
I was just concerned about it looking like

CAMARO Z28

Cause not only is the camaro larger, but the Z28 is italicized...
Also, the Z28 has the lines thru it... I'm not sure how professional it would look (unless maybe the Z28 was on both sides to make it look symmetrical, but that might be overkill). perhaps seeing a concept PS pic would help i dunno.

Regarding the interior 30th w/ nose emblem- I'd do it all one color. I'd probably get reflective black if possible. I don't like the red/white/blue combo especially for my interior... I say stick w/ one color.

I don't think that logo would be much of a problem to make....

Look here:

Now, I don't know about turning that into a bigger vinyl decal, etc.

Making an image in a Photoshop/Paint type program is pretty easy. Turning that image into a vector image which is "correct" can be very time consuming. For example to make CAMARO with all those lines through it, at each point where a single edge of one line hits the other (there are tons in this example!) you have to break apart and connect each of the points and do some adjusting... that could take over an hour easy even when you know what you're doing. LOL!

I'm looking into it though!

Yeah, I don't know anything about that. I figured it might be harder than it looked. I just didn't know if anybody had realized there is already a logo out there in the same font as the Z28 logo (on this very site) and I thought that was funny. Hell, I don't even want one of these; I think a decal on the air dam would look tacky. But this isn't about what I want.

Yeah I do some of this stuff because it is challenging and I want to learn how to do it. Heck, I spent like 3 hours on this one thing for a guy and I think I charged around $15. DOH!!! Oh well, I learned a lot while doing it
