Suncoast Predator hood fitment

This is a question for anyone that has a Suncoast Predator hood.
When installing the hood, did you have to modify the hinges to bolt the hood on? Did you have to modify the front nose to get get it to line up vertically?

Somebody else must have purchased this hood.
Here's a pic of how the front of the hood lines up.

And here's a pic of how much I have to shim/raise the hood to get it to line up at the back.

Boy, that fits like dog s**t. I'd be pretty pissed if my hood was like that when I bought it.

i bought a suncoast hood and it fit like garabge to. it was the turbo daytona iroc style. it totally wasnt designed right the latches would not hit you would have to end up shiming the hood latches with 5 inches of washers to get it to fit. the sides never lined up, fiberglass hoods are trash

I've seen some pretty bad fiberglass hoods and I haven't written this one off yet. There's a couple of things I can do to make it fit better. I can slot the holes in the hinge brackets to get rid of the shims that I'm using temporarily. As for the front not lining up, looking at the picture Suncoast has on their website of the hood, it looks like they've shimmed up the middle of the nose to match the hood.
Adjusting the center point of the hood and making the gaps on both side match is easy. It does follow the body lines nicely down the fenders when raised to the right height.
I just don't want to start modifying the hinges or changing the body lines if the hood was molded improperly to begin with. As soon as I start modifying the hinge brackets, it would be a royal pain to re-align the factory hood if I had to.
Hopefully someone will chime in that has fit one of these hoods before.

I've got an ASCD hood on my Z28, and other than the gap being a little wide on the driver side, it lines up pretty damn well. I haven't done any modifications to the hood itself and very minor adjusting was done to get it to sit properly with the fenders and nose.
