Street Legal Hyperwhite DRLs....

This is my current DRL setup ( actually blinking OFF )

This is a concept of what I would like(to be somewhat street legal) (still blinking off, but with a amber corner lense lighted (stock PARKING BULB)

I am HOPING that I can somehow tap into that low filiment flasher to send power to the far corner lense, which will be amber.

Does this sound good in theory ?

COME ON GUYS ! !

Sounds cool. Don't quite know how You'd do it though...
My guess would be to get some LED DRL's because, (from what i've heard) you have to buy an electronic flasher for them to make them flash. Then, I guess you could run the bulb wiring through it one way, then invert the wiring for the runing/parking light and run it thru the flasher also. Since the flasher is a simple logic gate, when it was say, a "0" the drl would be on and the running light off; then when the flasher was a "1", the drl would be off and the flasher on.
Keep in mind i have NO CLUE whether or not this would work, but that's the only setup i can think of.

The reason I don't think you could get regular bulbs that blink themselves is because each bulb type has a different flashing rate than other bulbs (ie the rate of flash depends on the bulb not the car computer). SO, I'd guess that you'd have to get an electronic flasher- which would be your way of "tapping into" the flasher. But from what i've heard on the board you need LED DRL's to use it or something.
Good luck man,
J

Well the main reason I posted is because there are some guys in here that have come up with 4 or 5 different versions of DRL's.

I'm assuming one of these guys is more eletrically inclined than myself. Otherwise I will eventually figure it out

The main problem is that I want the amber to be off normally, and ONLY flash when signaling. This poses a huge problem with the stock setup.

Get a test light to find out which wire makes it flash cut it and run a new bulb inside

Simple enough no?
