stock hood mod?

stock hood mod?

so i was wondering if anyone removed the stock hood "scoop" grills and cut out the backing and then re-installed them some how to make them a functional intake?

It's been discussed a few times here, consensus is that its not worth it.... And if you do it, rain, bugs, etc. will fill the engine bay....

I'm considering doing this to my car actually, gonna go pick up a spare set of vents at a junkyard this weekend in case the experiment goes wrong or I need to switch them back for whatever reason.

That's what we need...quick-change vents for nice days / rainy days...or a functional closing version.
