just got my ss wing from wing west, i put it on the car and after coubel of minutes i got the (INOP ABS), what the hell, took it off and connected the z28 wing and the light went away, put back the ss wing and here it comes again..

is there something wrong, its the 98 SS wing on a 94 z28.. i hope its just a wier or something.......

 

Your ABS inop light comes on b/c the ABS system used the resistance of the third brake light bulbs to tell if the ABS system is working correctly. If the ABS system doesn't see the proper resistance, it quits working and you get an ABS inop light. The ABS doesn't see the proper resistance with your new spoiler b/c the new spoiler uses LED's instead of bulbs. LED's only let current flow one direction, so there is no positive feedback to the ABS system. To remedy this, you either a) install a relay or b) use an ohm meter to determine the resistance of the original bulbs and install a resistor. Hope this helps!
