ss trunk

hi. my mom has a 94 Z28. im thinking about adding an SS spoiler to it and i was wondering if the spoiler is attached to the trunk hatch itself. if so, will it flow evenly with the curves of a Z28?

thanks
Matt

Trunk? Do you mean hatch? They are all the same... only thing that changed was the spoiler

Yes. The rear end of the 4th Gen Camaro never changed from 1993-2002. The tail lights changed color in 1997 (they are a direct fit for any 4th Gen Camaro too). So, the SS spoiler will bolt on to any 4th Gen Camaro, and will look factory. This is a super easy mod, and can be accomplished in about 10 minutes.

total BS........10 mins my ****.....more like 2-3 hours

and you have to rewire it to accept the led 3rd brake light(i.e. resistors, etc.)

it does bolt on but getting the original to unbolt takes forever

and the middle 2 "fangs" just hold on by 3m double sided tape

I had the stock spoiler off my car and the SS spoiler on in about 25 minutes... And I screwed around a lot.

Yes, wiring will take longer, but the fact that you can have the spoiler swapped in minutes is true.

i havn't been smoking anything

i know from personal experience

when i pulled mine off there was some hardcore glue/adhesive holding it on to the hatch and it took forever cause i didn't want to crack the paint and just rip it off

aren't all the wings held on by this adhesive crap

mine sure was and it sucked

You shouldn't be allowed to work on a car...

Even if you didn't want to "crack the paint" a little fishing string would have made quick work of the adhesive (3M tape) holding the pedestals on...

You learn each time though... the first time I did and Opti it was like 9 hours !!!!

Re: ss trunk

Love the car Brent! I would change the door handles out to black. The current color handles make the car look like it has a cheap paint job and they just painted over everything. I know that the paint work is top notch, but just if someone was looking at your car and didnt see your write-up thats what most people think. Other than that I think its great! Also some smoked turn signals would look awesome.
