If I'm not mistaken, it's because of the LED light on the SS spoiler is why the ABS light comes on...so if your car doesn't have an LED brake light, then you will probably need to do the mod to keep the abs light from coming on.

I think LS1 cars don't have a problem. i think its just 93-97, i've actually heard of 96+ guys don't have problems either but i can't really confirm that. I had a lot of problems getting mine to work. i ended up having to order a new less sensitive cruise control module because my SS spoiler and relay setup was causing to much resistance any my cruise control thought my brakes were always on.
