SS spoiler

Any of you that have installed a 98+ oem SS spoiler, did you have to bolt down the two vertical pillars in the middle? Is that how the SS's came? I'm trying to avoid drilling holes in my hatch in case I ever go back to the Z's original spoiler. Or could I get away with not drilling any holes and just mounting the spoiler with the Z28's original holes.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I purchased the spoiler from a GM dealer and those pads were not in the box. They also said they didn't have a part number for those pads. So what do I do? Are they BS ing me or what? Would anyone have a pic of these pads or maybe be able to describe them? Are they the same shape as the pillars in the middle of the spoiler?

Thanks to anyone that can help!

on mine i used 3m gray double sided tape for the pads! (trim the tape a lil short around the edges so it doesn't stick out when mounted)
