SS spoiler...

How does it bolt on. The center posts that is. Do I have too drill holes in my hatch lid? What about the sides. I cannot see any bolts from underneath.

Going from a Z28 to an SS spoiler...

Thanx yall!

Re: SS spoiler...

Are you going with an ebay or spoiler depot spoiler or an OEM one?

I drilled holes for the center support, but you dont have to, you could just use double sided tape.

....recomendations? I was just gonna do an OEM one. I think there's an SS one out there w/ a bit more of a lip to it.

It depends on how much you want to spend, if you want OEM quality, or if you want it shipped painted.

I went with a spoiler depot spoiler and it was about a 7 out of 10 on my scale. The paint matches and fitment was good but there is a small dimple and a rather large stress crack near one of the rear supports. I will be sending it back and getting another one soon, so ill let you know how their customer service is. Also the hardware they provided does not work so plan on spending a few bucks and some time at a hardware store.

As far as the lips go i think some of the aftermarket ones have a bigger lip to them. I know mine has a bigger lip than the LT1 style SS spoilers, im not sure on the OEM LS1 style SS spoilers though. There is also a SS spoiler that doesnt have the center supports, but has the LED light, and a larger lip. I believe it is made by mecham and is called a Z29R.

Here are some links to some of the options out there.
