Opinions? Should I just snap my ram air thingie out, find some craft font thingies to hold over it, and spraypaint in red "SS" over it?

Or is Spraypaint ghetto?

Opinions? =)

I was trying to think of what the smallest SS emblems to appear were on...but I think I would try finding some small enough to mount on there IF I were going to put something on there...if interested in that idea, remember, you have Monte Carlo's, Impala, Chevelle's, Nova's, and others that all had the SS option...so don't limit your search to just Camaro's.

On the other hand, if you hate that idea, and just assume stick to yours, spraypaint can look good, and it can look ghetto...you have quite a bit of stuff on your car as it is, so I assume that you like the bold look (which is fine, it's your car)...the picture you posted doesn't look that bad, but I would try to make the SS a little more visible if I were going to paint the grill red and make a noticable "SS" in it. But, I would definitely try to hold the true SS emblem shape, instead of just any old font...

My $.02...or maybe that's more like $.03?

Thats not his car. I actually saw that car in person last week in Edinburg. I took a picture of it as well because of the rims it had. Also all of the badges on the car were reflective as well. Personally i think the SS in the grill is a little much. But to each his own

YAAAAYYYYYY im right. I started going through the pics and saw the reflective badges. Then finally got to the Texas liscense plate

I started thinking after the post that i was gonna look really dumb for saying its not your car when all i did was look at the first picture. So i browsed through em and sure enough im right

Nope, not my car.

I've got a red 2002 - and I think all the rest of what was done to the car is a bit too much for my taste - but the SS is what I want.

Going to look into trying to get the official SS font in there somehow.

I'll make you a stencil in vinyl that you can stick over the plastic grille in the exact SS font. I have an SS as well but it is a 96 and not sure if the grille is the same. My sister has a new style SS so I can get some measurements off of it. But, tell me how high you think the SS should be and I'll also take a look at my sisters.

All I ask is that you take a few good pictures for me when you are done Email me your address so I can send you the stencil (if you want to do this).

Why don't you use a vintage ss emblem that way you have a way to mount it with some bolts or clips or whatever those emblems used...

Personally.... I ask around to people you know that may possibly work or know someone that works at a body shop. my brother does and he collects all sorts of parts like that. As a matter of fact he's got a bunch of SS emblems off of a few different newer Monte's that he's snaged for me for my Nova. I know there's about 3 different size ones on that car alone. and the smallest one I know would fit in the SS ram-air intake.

All those other SSs have different style fonts. I believe he wants to duplicate the Camaro SS style font.
