i have a 95 silver vert with a 98+ ss spoiler and oem ss emblems to match, should i go with the ss hood or with a cowl hood with black stripes.....i am running weld prostars

 

An SS hood would match up well to the SS spoiler and emblems you already have, but then again a cowl hood always seems to go well with weld prostar rims. I am leaning towards the SS style hood though to match up with the other stuff you already have.

 

yeah thats what i was thinking.....especially since the hoods allready silver

 

I want a cowl hood.

 

Personally, I love the SS hood, and have never been a big fan of cowls on 4th Gens. But 2000GTP was right when he said a cowl goes good with Welds.

 

I'd say get the SS it looks so much better than a cowl hood. Cowl hoods only look good on 94-98 stangs. Also you might want to edit your post about the SS emblems if not the SS guys are gonna get really pissed.

 

oops did i say ss emblems...... it's a tough decision.....i am weighing towards the ss hood thanks for the replies

yeah i had that Harwood hood on my black 94...i liked it but wanna go with simething skinnier.....check out the dominator hood on carhoods.com the white one with the stripes is what i was thinking...but silver w/ black

 

ended up going with the SS hood , couldn't pass it up.......

 

I too have Weld ProStars. I have a Firebird Formula but they make the hood I have for Camaro's as well. Check out www.cardomain.com/id/1bdbird shows the hood pretty well in most of the pics.

 

I think the SS hood was the right choice.When i first read cowl hood i was thinking the cowl had a "harder" edge to it the whole way up the hood.I'm not sure if that makes sense.I like those cowl hoods alot.i think they look good on alot of cars.

 

Cowls look good on 4th gens i my opinion, just not higher than 2 1/2" on an LS1 car. They look great with stripes on them too.
