Re: spyder hood? ebay?
Two things:
1. I think it's a mistake to buy any kind've appearance mod like body parts unless the vendor selling them has been thorough enough to take pics of it from multiple angles so you can get a better idea of how it's gonna look in 3-D. Sometimes, especially with body parts, what might look good from one angle looks weird/awkward from other angles.
2. As if dealing with Ebay weren't already a high enough risk as it is, I dunno how keen I would be on buying something that the seller doesn't have a real, true life, tangible working copy of. Good computer/photoshop skills DO NOT equal good fiberglass/fabrication skills. Just because somebody has been able to make a concept of something on a computer doesn't necessarily mean that they're going to be able to follow through and make the real version just as good.
This part of their "terms and conditions" makes me a little nervous:
"Professional installation required, seller is not responsible for any and all fees associated to installation. Buyer understands that due to the nature of fiberglass, additional work will be needed to fit and install the body kit. Please don't bid if you don't intend to buy it."
This term pretty much alleviates them from any liability that might be involved with crappy finish and/or fabrication quality. If they decided to sell you a completely useless piece of crap hood that didn't fit or look right, if you tried to dispute it all they'd need to do is say, "We said additional work needed to be done, if your body shop can't handle it that's their problem."
I wouldn't do it.

Re: spyder hood? ebay?
There's a guy on here that has it on his Camaro. Do a search, he just posted painted pictures not too long ago.
Edit: Don't know if the pics still work, but here's the thread: http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=435059

Re: spyder hood? ebay?
well i order the hood over the weekend, so its kinda too late, but i don't think its a scam due to the fact taht i have called numerous times about more info about the hood and there is always personal there to help me and i called after hours to see if the place actually existed and it did go to the places answering machine and they got a website, so i kinda doubt its a scam, plus i've check the background and stuff on this seller and nothing bad. I chose this hood cause i am planning on either single or twin turbo's eventually and for an intercooler i think i am going to go with a top mount and with this hood it looks like it will give me enough clearence between the motor and the hood for one and room for a heat shield. I would really like to find someone who has used this hood though
