spray can primer

Ok I did work at a body shop for the past few years(me and my budy walked out and were not dealing with anyone who works there very bad things were going on) anyways I dont know the answer to this question. If you buy the spray paint bottles with primer in it can you prime a hood and get it ready for paint by useing that kind of primer. I never used it for that so if any one knows please let me know thanks.

Only if its a urathane based primer. Its going to cost about 8-11 bucks a can tho. make sure to get high build that way theres less body work or filler being used. Do a yellow pages search on Dupont Auto Color. There a body shop supply store. i think there Rattle can Urathane High build primer is about 9 bucks a can but is verry good.

Re: spray can primer

Is there a clear coat that come in a spray can. I want to redo my front nose piece. It's a Xenon g/x and it's Urathane. I don't have much knowledge of auto body stuff. But it seems like I have to get this front peice repainted every summer. So I want to try it myself to save some money. If I screw up.....well, I guess I'll have to take it somewhere.

You can get it in a rattle can but you have to be careful and mask the area around it verry good. then all it takes is some 1000 and 1500 grit wetsand and some polish and alot of elbo greease. but it can be done
