Ide like to see a profile shot. You should take a bunch of pictures once youre done putting the new wheels on, and putting the stock tail lights on too while youre at it

Re: Sportsback Window

I've got some pics here...

This is on a bud's car. Leaks like crazy. I like it on HIS car but it is because it is black. I don't think I'd like it much if it weren't on a black car. But, IMO, looks pretty good on a black car.

Re: Sportsback Window

I dont get it. It's removable but it leaks. If you put some cack on it is it still removable or is it not suppose to be removed?

Why not cack? You dont like cack? Have you ever tried cack? Works very well depending on the application.

Re: Sportsback Window

Too bad someone couldn't make a complete notchback [full hatch, not just the window] like GM did on the limited run Trans Am's in 88.

He's got major leaks and when it rains hard it like "fills up" his car. It is a design flaw in that it appears the plexiglass window isn't thick enough and because of this not enough pressure is put on the weatherstripping to prevent it from leaking. He is currently looking for a thicker piece to use in there to see if that fixes the problem.

That might work. But, if I remember right the weather stripping used in that application was molded (must be sized correctly) and it was thought it would be easier to replace the plexiglass with a thicker piece than to find the correct and larger weather stripping. He was also going to try something to make the clamps "thicker" too I think. Not sure what he's done but I know he has been battling this and trying to find a solution.
