which seat do you like better?

the recaro sport or sparco milano. keeping in mind corbeau is out and cobra has a company policy not to sponsor late model f-bodies for some reason..

the milano

Re: sport or milano?

I think the Recaro would look better if you do a two tone, maybe have red bolsters or centers???

If you're keeping it one color, I like the Sparcos better.

Another thing I read is that 4th gen door handles will fit on 3rd gen cars, they look cleaner without the recess IMO.

Also, your car is

Sparco Milano's. Sit in them, you'll know why.
Recaro's are nice - just not as snug.

I think I have told you before, but in case you forgot, your car is my favorite 3rd Gen.

Re: sport or milano?

well i finally got to sit in both. the sparco milano is nice but the construction of the seat isn't up to par with the recaro. the problem is they really are two different seats. if i were going to only race the car the milano would be a better choice because of the snug fit in just comparing the two. however for a cruising car with ocasional track time i think the sportline is going to be the best choice when it comes to comfort and most options on the seat.

the recaro is alot lighter, has a full steel frame instead of a single tubular frame with wires like the milano which doesn't have the same comfort level. the ability to adjust the seat bottom area with the leg extension cushion is a plus as well.

i'm still not sure, but the recaro definately has the better construction as far as frame design and more features for the dollar. after having corbeau trs seats i'm looking for more comfort over anything but the fact that the sparco seats are a little more snug is a hard decision.

i really like the cobra misano as a third choice but with a 4 month waiting list the only thing the misano has over these two is looks.

thanks again for all the input and ideas everyone.

I would take the black or the mustard yellow...I love them both. I fell in love with them the first time I ever saw them.

Re: sport or milano?

the problem is the company setup is rediculous with their 3 month+ waiting list. the construction of the seat is ok but not nearly worth the $1700 plus a seat you'll need. if you could get the seat for close to $1,000 which is what it can go for then it might be worth the wait in "coolness" factor alone. it's extremely limited in options for the price of it and the construction base is it's largest factor for someone who wants to say they have CF reclining seats.... however most get the steel which is heavier then the recaro and spend almost 800 more for it?

beautiful seat reguardless though, if it had thigh support like the recaro or milano prestige and was less of a waiting time it would be a contender.
