Spoiler opinion, three piece or one piece??? POLL INSIDE

I got this spoiler for Christmas:

I am trying to decide if I should keep it one piece (would look like this):

Or, USING THE SAME SPOILER (i.e. SAME HEIGHT AND SHAPE) go three piece (I have a friend who can do it and make it look like it came that way, he Targa topped his Z) similar to these:

I am leaning towards the three piece because I do not like the gap the one piece leaves where it over hangs (seen here):

Also, since I already have the 1974 style Z28 emblems I thought the 3 piece design would match and compliment the style:

This is my car now:

SO, what do you guys think? Three piece or one piece???

I say cut it if you can mount the two smaller outer pieces on the car somehow without them falling off.

Same as I said on LS1tech, the angle of my car in my pic (the one that has Meissen licenseplate) shows the gap because it's from down low looking up, at regular eye level you don't see any gap at all. At that, you'd WANT a thin gap for a 1 piece or else every time the hatch is closed and the spoiler comes down it'd be rubbing against your paint.

Messination, sorry dude, I didn't mean to single out your car. I know the ALL do that, yours was the only pic from the ONLY ANGLE that you can really see it.

I knew how it was because mine did it when I had it before:

Chop it to retain the same lines as stock.

wouldn't it be easier to sell it and find a three piece one? If you do go the chop route though use 3m tape on the endpieces. You'd be suprised how many cars have body panels like that with double sided tap on em.

The three piece spoilers are either too big or too small. I am going to chop it into 3 pieces and use 3M double sided tape for the side pieces

I was going to vote 1 piece, but when you mentioned the gap it leaves, I gotta say, that baby has to be three pieces!

I like the one piece. How many inches does that rise up? Also who sells a 5-6" rise spoiler? ri

One thing I just thought of... if you chop it into three pieces, they aren't going to sit evenly anymore because of that little gap on the bottom; the center portion that attaches to the stock spoiler has a "platform" for it to attach to the spoiler. Does that make sense, I dunno how to really word what I mean lol. Also, I don't remember if the spoiler was solid or hollow, you might have an issue with having to fill the sides of the spoiler after ya chop it. Just a few things to keep in mind.

He said his friend did it to his own car so Im sure theyre well aware of whats involved. He could just sell me the one he has and buy a 3 piece

now now, I know I have a bad habit of not reading the whole post, but he said his friend CAN do it, not that he has before.
