spoiler

hey guys i recently got a cowl induction hood put on my car and everyone i know thinks it looks great. A couple of my friends think I should get a raised spoiler to go with the hood. I have started to think about different kinds of spoilers. But the one problem is i don't want to get a spoiler that is gonna rice out my car. The one spoiler I've seen is the commado style wings west wing. That looks awesome but its $550--- way 2 far out of my price range. Ne suggestions? personally i like the setup now but if i found sum thin for a good price i'd buy it

___________
98 z28
artic white automatic
cowl induction hood
rear panel lettering in black
avs tailshades
whisper lid
k+n air filter
80 series flowmaster muffler

If you plan on ground effects then I think the Commando style or Super Wing style wing looks good. The super wing is like the one on my car...

However, if you don't plan on doing ground effects then I prefer a more subtle spoiler and would suggest a 98+ SS style spoiler.

It's always been my opinion that to "support" a high wing or radical wing you NEED ground effects for a balance. With the ground effects I think the the high rise style wings look a bit out of place.

I have to agree with brent. His car looks great with his spoiler and cowl hood but he also has ground effects. I have the commando wing on mine with an SS hood. I will be getting wing west ground effects put on this spring so that will really help. I never seen a commando on with a cowl hood so you can proably rest assure you will be one of a kind. But for the money I would go with brents and you can see that it looks good. You can see mine in the sig but you have to copy and past in the address bar.

I think he meant without, and he's 100% right. I have the same on mine with ground effects, and I wouldnt have it any other way.

wing

ground effects would be cool. the thing is i wanna start to put money into the engine n performance mods. The ss spoiler is sounding good right now. Like you said if i go with a super wing i wud need ge to complete the package. How is the install on the ss spoiler? Taking off stock spoiler? how is the stock spoiler attached?

Hey buddy..

its very easy, pull off the plastic panel when u open up the trunk and you'll see 2 bolts and just un-screw them and place the SS or whichever wing in its place...directly swap.

I hear ya, but little do people know that i have perf mods up the a** as well...i wanted a car that turns heads and can haul *****

i should be mid 12's NA and mid 11's with a 100 shot in my LT1
