Sound deading mats......which one??

Im soon going to replace my interior. And i wanted to lay this mat down on the floors door panels, sail panels and trunk area. basically everywhere.

Ive seen some go from $50 for a 3'x2' area. And some others for $25 for a 4'x5'.

Just curious if they were of that much difference or if i would be better off just getting the cheaper version for the swap.

Thanks ahead of time....

You can get real big boxes of dynamat on ebay for a good price. I bought some but can't remember the $, maybe $100 but you get ALOT!

For my system I laid about 70sq ft throughout the entire car, not only does it help the exhaust, but road noise in general. Dynamat is nice, but brownbread is better (even though your friends will make fun of you for calling it what it is)

Check out http://www.b-quiet.com/brownbread.html 70sqft for only $160 shipped. Dont just stop at the hatch. Do your doors. The doors allow the most road noise in do the outter door skin and the inner door skin.

You guys should ride in my z. You have to roll the windows down to hear the exhaust(more) You can still hear it resonating(hardly) in the car. But Im not laying 15 layers of the stuff.

Well, I've tried a couple different of the sheet types of sound deadening.... and actually I've found something that works better....

Go to Walmart in the Auto department.. and look for 3M Ruberized Undercoating.... I've done about 3 cars in this... and it actually seems to work beter than when I had the sheet stuff in the car... it's a little more work because you have to mask everything off, but it actually adheres 100% to the metal, whereas the sheet stuff may not and typically does not adhere 100%...

But ya know spend your money on the "real" stuff. And again this should be in the Custom Car Audio & Electronics forum. But who's paying attention?
OMG wtf is your problem. forgive people for expressing ideas and discussing the topic. Dont get pissed off because people have their own ideas and want to know more about it, rather than just say oh well MYPEARL said this so ill do what he said.

As for being in the wrong forum. It can belong here just as well as the audio forum. And until a moderator sees a problem with where it is, it shouldnt concern you.

So newb just go back and stay out of the topic if you have nothing constructive or nice to say. Sheesh

I was thinking about aplying this to the undercarriage. Is it made to go there as well?
