I know someone who wants to sell his SLP Ram Air hood to me. He told me to make him an offer for the hood, which is in very good condition, so I was wondering how much I should offer him. The hood is the same color as my car, so I wont have to get it painted... Any and all help is appreciated.

 

Depends. How much has he used it up until now? Those hoods typically go for $700 brand new with the gel coating and no paint.

 

well its been on his car for a year.... through the winter we had here...

 

If it's an oem hood its definatly worth more than 700 but go as low as you can. Start off with about $200 and work your way up. I was in the same situation about 2 months ago and couldn't pass up a oem "ss hood" (same color as my car). My buddy setteled for $300. See I was lucky but don't be afraid to pay $500 for it cuz its even the same color as your car and its still cheaper than getting an aftermarket one and getting painted

Well it is the SLP aftermarket hood. The only OEM they have, is the Firehawk Hood... w/ the extractors. I heard that if you break your Firehawk hood, they wont send you a new one unless you send them the broken one.

 

what i would do is ask him how much it cost him, then offer him half, thats what i do when im selling or buying stuff for my car, i bought a 2000 oem ss hood for $580 shipped to my door sometimes you luck out
