Hey guys, I thought I would get the word out for the LT1 SS guys. SLP has the upper lid assembly for the 1997 SS that says "CAMARO SS" for sale in the clearance section. I bought one and thought I would spread the word. I just got mine today and it was in great shape. The lid is sold as new old stock from what I understand. If you think you will ever need one now is the time to buy one while they are available.

$100 for just that part? damn I should have sold my whole air box for more than the $120 or so I got for it...holy crap.

 

That's an extremely hard to find part! I'd buy it, but I think the remaining 3 need to go to people interested in restoring their SS or making a Z28 into an accurate SS replica.

 

They are being sold individually but listed 3 at a time. I dont know how many are left and I know it's $100, but it's priceless if you need one. You have to consider that they are new and not used, so they havent had the years of heat exposure.

 

Car parts are always expensive. I think the stock airbox for a Z28 is a similar price ( I think it's actually closer to $200) from GM, so this actually seems like a pretty decent deal to me considering how hard it is to find this part.
