1. What's a "quality" cheap hood? Something along the lines of the Ultra Z, or SS hood.

2. How much for average paint job?

3. How does installation work? Is it easy? Difficult?

Anyone? I'm mainly worried about the install. Can I do it myself? I'm low on cash and dont want to have to pay for install as well.

 

UNFORTUNATELY quality and cheap aren't usually used in the same sentence.... especially when it comes to aftermarket hoods. After much searching I ended up going with an OEM SLP hood due to the quality isssue. It took me awhile to save up and find a good used SS hood and ended up paying about $500 to have it Professionally mounted and painted. I just didn't want it to look like "I" had installed it. It looks absolutely awesome now, and I have NO regrets. I did install the SS spoiler myself though (OEM SLP again) as it was only about 4 bolts, 2-wires, and a 15 minute job.
