Side exit exhaust

Been throwing this idea around, I think it looks really good. I am assuming these are Boom Tube exhaust tips (the same used in stock cars). Does anyone else have any more pics?

Good luck clearing speed bumps w/ those things, or any bump for that matter. They definitely are the best looking side exit exhaust ive seen though, I like it.

I was going to do this until my wife suprised me with a loudmouth kit for my birthday so scrapped those plans. You can buy new from drgas.com I believe. Also, search used nascar parts and you will find alot that way also. Just checked. drgas.com is the site. They make all the parts but think you have to weld up yourself. I think looks great.

That is the best looking side exit exhaust I've seen, but I don't think it would look as good on a car with no ground effects. Just think about it. That car has ground effects and the profile of the exhaust tip is flush with the bottom of the side skirt. Camaros have that curve on the rocker panel, so yours wouldn't be flush like that unless you tucked it back a few inches. At that point, you might as well just get dumps in front of the axle.

And I agree with Bud M. That probably is loud as all hell!

I got the guys email address and emailed him, here was his reply:
These are called Boom Tube Exhaust. Mine actually came off of Darrell Waltrips race car, believe it or not. The guy who put them on for me and fabed them up worked for Waltrip racing as a fabricator.
I know someone who can weld, so I think I can get this done. I wonder how loud it would be with open headers

Looks cool, but I sure as heck wouldn't put them on. You'll be deaf.
