RS rear spoiler, need help....

Ok, a friend of mine ordered a 96-97 RS rear spoiler to go with his RS ground effects. Does it require drilling to mount it like the 2nd and 3rd gen spoilers? If so, he doesn't want to drill in his rear 1/4's in case he wants to remove it one day. Could we just shave the bolts off and use double sided emblem tape?

yes, they do require you to drill holes. when i took mine off i was amazed to see the size of the holes in my 1/4. but if you cut off the bolts and get better 3M adhesive, they will stay on just fine.
