I read that the suncoast SS hoods are pretty good from past posts, but couldn't find anything about the quality of the rksport ss hood. Are the RKSport hoods a good quality?

The rksport SS hood I recieved was of decent quality. The underside and edges could have been better. Shop had to do a little extra work on the edges to smooth them out, the mold was pitted a bit.

rksport, IS a liscensed GM aftermarket dealer, everything SHOULD fit fine... i've never had any problem with their products.

I thought it was pretty cool that they now have carbon fiber ss hoods for 200 extra bucks.... to MY limited knowledge, they're the first.

 

guitardedjf: where did you see the RKsport CF hood? I don't see it on their web site? That's awsome that someone other than DGM is offering a CF hood for us.

rk sport is a rip off? tell me about it. the only problems i ever had was they sent an order to the wrong place once.
did something break? jusst low quality when you got it? price too high? I thought the price was pretty decent for a CF hood.

 

hi rksports hoods are junk do not buy one they need so much work to make them look good and line up i had to have both sides reworked to line up with my fender lines. and i will never buy from them again their carbon fiber decals are junk aswell so if the body kit it too does not fit right.

 

for the price i'd advise a suncoast SS hood...

 

Too bad they dont sell the carbon one in the pic, on the white car. Its supposed to be a bid block hood, but the mod was destroyed two years ago. So that hood is no longer for sale. And i guess they are to hard up for cash to update their web site and contact there distributors, and let them know that the hood that is all over the internet no longer exists. I guess they are lucky they dont get a law suite for that ****.

DGM has the ZL1 style hood...aka the big block hood...

 

I will buy the rk sport big block hood, if any one has it used for sale.
